Pretty persistent soreness in my shins had me back out of the route I had planned and double back. Going to monitor it and give myself the time I need to recover. Frustrating to know I had the energy and stamina to continue but was held back...going to channel this towards motivation.

makes me wonder if perhaps you should check what's on your feet, may not be the proper runners. Sore knees is how I tell when it's time to buy new sneakers :)

definitely possible...my runners have never felt uncomfortable and have only had them a few months but i've been meaning to look into a running clinic to see if it's my form that needs to change, my shoes or possibly both haha. knees have been ok so far, wondering if it's just shin-splints.
