      Some tires are A LOT harder to mount on a rim. I remember I had the same problem a few years ago. If you get some foldable tires, they'll go on significantly easier because the bead is more flexible compared to a standard wire bead. Not sure what you're using, but a high quality tire can actually be a worthwhile upgrade. Unfortunately, they can be sort of expensive (~$60/tire).

      Ha, yeah, the bike course is rude in my opinion. Some of the best downhills are ruined by a sharp turn at the bottom of the hill.
