      do you normally hate the treadmill? I hate it if I go at an even pace the whole time. I try to start at an easy pace and play around with the speeds. Sometimes I have a goal in mind, sometimes I switch it up as I feel like it. Right now I am starting at a pace a little slower than an avg pace I know I can hold for the length of time I am running, then I'll go up 0.1 mph every few minutes. Right now my goal is to always end the workout with a minute of running at 8.0 mph. Breaks it up anyway.

      Started off fine, a mile in calves tightened like crazy. 4 miles in the outside of my left knee started feeling weird. 5 miles in, blisters. And it was NOT 64 degrees. More like 85.

      are you using the stick or foam roller after you run? I find the outside of my left knee gets cranky too, and using the foam roller on my IT band and glutes helps a lot. I also find the best stretch for calves is downward facing dog pose.

      I'd like to hear about this roller. . I had IT band problems to the point where I quit running.
