    blah 4-Miler 4 mi 00:35 08:42 pace

Did some speed work, but got too hot so just ran normal to keep from overheating

  2. RUN
    alright 4-Miler 4 mi 00:34 08:35 pace

Back on DM after a long lay-off. Been running just not with a lot of intensity, but since I've started to actually trim some time off the pace, I feel it's alright to get back on the wago... read more

  3. RUN
    good 4-Mile Loop 3 mi 00:28 09:20 pace

Took advantage of the 50° weather and ran outdoors for the first time this year. Path was sloppy and I had to dodge puddles and "other" debris, but at least I got out

Gulf beach run 5 mi 00:45 09:00 pace

Took in a run along the gulf shore in Biloxi, MS. Ran on concrete since the sand was too soft to run on. The weather was not optimal, I but got to wear warm weather gear, so that was nice for a cha... read more

what road do you take to get to the park. I know it's off of 75th street, but where is the parking lot?

Paul- The north parking lot is on the east side of Greene Road 0.3 mile north of 75th Street and 0.25 mile south of Hobson Road. The south parking lot is on the west side of Greene Road 0.25 mile south of 79th Street. http://www.dupageforest.com/page.aspx?id=3818

  10. RUN
    alright 5-Mile Loop 5 mi 00:46 09:11 pace

The legs were heavy after the ride yesterday, so the speedwork turned in to a tempo run.

alright New 30 Mile Loop 30 mi 01:46 17.0mph pace

Wiiiiindy! Heading into the wind was slow. almots crawling at 13 mph for what seamed a while. The tailwind was nice though.

  12. RUN
    good 10-K Loop 6.2 mi 00:55 08:54 pace

Longest continuous run in a while. Tried a different metatarsal pad on the foot and varied my pace during the run. All this seamed to work as there were no issues with my foot.

    • Sean
      Sean

wait, you had an injured foot and decided to do your longest run in a while to see if it's healthy? :)

    good 4-Mile Loop 4.33 mi 00:37 08:35 pace

Shortened the speed work and even walked instead of one of my recovery jogs to keep the foot from numbing and that seemed to help. Ran 4X440 at a with the intermittent recovery jogs.

looks like a good pace! when you got your foot diagnosed, did the doctor tell you any foot-strengthening exercises that you could do to help stave this off? i've heard that it's good to sit on a chair and pick up a towel with your toes, raise it up, lower, it down, release, repeat. Don't know if something like that would help or not, but maybe worth a try.

I don't even have any winter jerseys (or other cold-gear, for that matter). I'll have to resort to layering over/under my short-sleeved versions.

    alright 5-Mile Loop 5 mi 00:44 08:46 pace

Ran with my metatarsal pad in my foot, but still had the same symptoms at the end. RATS! Some adjustment may be necessary or a new pad for next time. Oh, I ran 3 tempo miles in 24'45".

If you've got the discomfort, why not just shorten the distances for the next few runs until things heal back up again?

      Sean

I thought you were off the sauce!? I'll have to take a look at the local beer distributor to see if they carry the dos hermanos. Do you have a good, local store that carried many national and international styles? If so, see if they have Ommegang Rare Vos.

Football Saturday-mornings could be your excuse to get in an early workout and then enjoy a 312 while you watch a game of choice. That once-a-week beer motivation just might be enough!
