great Triathlon Swim Class 2000 yd

So tonight was my first night at tri swim class. I have to say, I really enjoyed it! There were about 10 of us there with 2 to a lane. It's an hour and a half class but there was a good amount of talking this week so we didn't get in any mega yardage. But we did work on some key skills...drafting in two different positions, breathing, arm entry, rotation, etc. Lots of stuff actually. I liked being back in a class...it's been about a year since my last group swim class. Overall I was one of the faster swimmers which was reassuring. The coach noticed my arm drop (right arm) but as soon as I started bilateral breathing it got much better. I'm going to try bilateral breathing all the time, now and really try and train myself to breathe to the right a lot. Two of my teammates are taking the class which is fun. So I'm looking forward to it!

Sounds like a very informative tri class. Have you ever gotten an under water video done at one of those coaching sessions? Also I took a look at your schedule and noticed you did the Great South Bay Triathlon, how was it?

Very nice swim. It's amazing how bilateral breathing helps form.
