  1. RUN
tired Apollo Beach, FL 3 mi 00:29 09:30 pace

I really can't express how hot & humid this run was. Running after 9 am in Florida is just suicidal.

  2. RUN
good Loggerhead Sprint Triathlon 3.1 mi 00:27 08:32 pace

After T2 (1:33) I headed out on the run and immediately passed a few of the chicks I was chasing on the bike. I would have liked to have run harder but it was hotter than hades out there (over 90 d... read more

  3. VELO
good Loggerhead Sprint Triathlon 13 mi 00:38 20.5mph pace

After a less-than-stellar transition (2:44...had to run kinda far...double-checked shoes for crabs which I found in there the week before...with a claw) I headed out for the bike and tried to ride ... read more

  4. swim
good Loggerhead Sprint Triathlon 660 yd 00:12:40 33:46 pace

Kind of choppy. Crowded swim for a sprint, especially at the beginning. I was mostly worried about jellyfish, which were out there but thankfully scared away by the men's wave in front of us. My sw... read more

  5. swim
good North County Aquatics 1500 yd 00:32 37:32 pace

Easy swim, warmup for tomorrow. Gorgeous day at the pool.

  6. RUN
good Easy Jog 2.6 mi 00:24 09:13 pace

No idea on pace, my Garmin has been "sick" lately. Went out around 9:30 and it was about 100 degrees. Thought I might croak on a 2 mile run!!!

  7. VELO
good Beach Road 18 mi 01:00 18.0mph pace

Felt a bit sluggish. Nasty headwind on the way south. Cruised about 23 mph on Donald Ross. Nice!!

  8. swim
    good North County Aquatics 1150 m 00:35 48:58 pace

Felt a little tired. Had to scram when a nasty storm rolled in. First time in a month that's happened!

  9. RUN
great Beach Road 2.5 mi 00:23 09:00 pace

Felt really good. Easy run then a short pickup. Cloudy just before a storm. Perfect.

  10. VELO
good Team Practice: Central Park T... 21.14 mi 01:08 18.7mph pace

Back in the saddle...first time since my race a week ago. Felt good to ride and was an impeccable morning in CP for a ride! Had a teammate to chase so knocked out 3 of my fastest loops ever. I nee... read more

  11. RUN
    good St. Anthony's Run 6.2 mi 00:54 08:45 pace

I was actually quite concerned with this run considering the heat, my lack of brick training, and my lack of run training overall. My only hope was that the adrenaline of a race could carry me thro... read more

  12. VELO
    good St. Anthony's Bike 24.85 mi 01:18 19.2mph pace

Where I lacked in firepower in the swim I tried to make up in the bike, my favorite part :) I passed a good deal of girls but also got passed a few times too. I enjoyed the course over the smooth, ... read more

  13. swim
    alright St. Anthony's Swim 1000 m 00:21 33:28 pace

The swim was actually shortened to 1,000 meters the morning of the race due to weather, and they also changed the route. Lucky for me, since I did practically zero swim training and hadn't even loo... read more

  14. RUN
good Warmup Run 1.54 mi 00:15 09:49 pace

Slow, steady jog just to keep my legs alive. Checked out a little bit of the run course with my friend.

  15. RUN
good Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa 4 mi 00:35 08:52 pace

Went for a nice pre-dinner jog in Tampa along Bayshore. Was so nice to run outside along the water in warm weather. Just trying to keep the legs moving and ready for the race!

  16. swim
    good Mental Prep Swim 1500 m 00:31 32:59 pace

Just had to prove to myself that yes, I indeed can swim 1500 meters.

  17. RUN
tired Easter Brick: Riverside Park 10K 6.21 mi 01:01 09:50 pace

So I guess I paid for my hard effort on the bike with this horribly slow run. I was actually having some Garmin watch issues and I found it hard to believe I was running so slow at times because it... read more

Last weekend I passed this guy on the Hudson greenway who was running in his tri clothes -- I was thinking it might be a bit uncomfortable? Do you change before you run?

Yeah you run in tri-clothes. Same outfit for all 3 disciplines! Tri shorts are a lot less thick than bike shorts are so they are easy to run in.

great Easter Brick: Central Park Loops 24 mi 01:22 17.6mph pace

This was kind of a last-ditch effort brick to create some confidence before I head into next weekend. So I slept off my hangover (oops) and rolled into the park at 2pm. This was a good strategy sin... read more
