    Short tempo run to start the running week. Tried to keep the pace outside of my comfort zone. Even managed a 7:53 at mile 2, which is fast for me. Pleased about that. Weather pleasant, wore shorts and tee.

      nice run simon.. good that you are treading carefully with the barefoot/running form debate... my take is to make small adaptations to my own form AND training.. i don't think you can make progress in one area, without the other

      I'm doing the same to try and overcome a left knee pain (since 2 years now). It's a bit hard to change one's "natural" stride but I think if we keep focusing on it it will eventually come naturally. And yes my pace seems also to be slowly increasing. Keep it up.

    Gloveless (a mistake, it was cold) run to kick of the running week. Travelling schedule this week will make getting the miles in a bit of a challenge. Mornings are getting lighter, more birdsong. Maybe it will warm up soon, too.

    Cold and wet. Shorts were a mistake, as was not wearing a hat. You live and learn. Anyway, a few more miles in the bank. Rest tomorrow, long run Sunday.

      I never run with music, especially outside where I like to be alert to what is going on around me. I like being able to tune into my body rather then the music during my runs. Looks like you had a good run with a great pace Simon, well done!
