  1. RUN
    great East Lancs 8 8 mi 01:07 08:22 pace

Dark, cold, wet. Done. Furthest distance yet in the Hattoris, legs feel fine as a write this (the day after). Looking forward to better weather.

  2. RUN
    great 6.63 mi 00:56 08:24 pace

-4C this morning, but the dry air means no frost! Great conditions for an early run. Running more in the minimal Hattoris these days - comfortable on runs of up to an hour now. Soon, I'll get back ... read more

  3. RUN
good 10 on the mill 10 mi 01:31 09:05 pace

Slower and steady. Trying to keep the mind interested seems to be the trick. As soon as your head leaves the game, the body follows.

  4. RUN
good Here and there 4.65 mi 00:38 08:08 pace

Clocking some miles. Cold but no ice.

  5. RUN
    great East Lancs 6 6.04 mi 00:51 08:27 pace

Bloody freezing. Nice run though, especially considering this morning's super early start to get in to London (4am. zoikes. I didn't know there was more than one 4 o'clock in the day). Managed to c... read more

Crikey it takes commitment to run after a 4 am start! Im with Ciemon once you hit the halfway mark it makes sense to go all out for the Glenmorangie!

    great 3.12 mi 00:35 11:07 pace

Round the block with Mrs C. Cold and dark, but no ice. A sprint finish too. Nice one.

  7. RUN
    great Culcheth 11 11.42 mi 01:38 08:36 pace

Sunday run with Paul M. Lovely bright, crisp morning. A bit slippy underfoot though. We're off to the Bents and Bongs Beer Bash tonight, so we've earned our beers this morning. (see http://www.bent... read more

  8. RUN
    good East Lancs 6 6.06 mi 00:50 08:10 pace

Just a regular run in the Hattoris. Cold tonight with possible snow over the weekend. I'll not moan about it, as some of you have *proper* levels of snow. We just get an occasional, annoying dusti... read more

Nice run Simon. I was interested in the Hattoris until my foot started causing issues

Dan - yes I'm a lot more cautious these days too. Rather than the complete transition I attempted last year, I'm simply rotating my shoes, keeping the Kinvaras for the longer runs. Long term goal is still to go 100% minimal, but I'm in no rush. Just trying to enjoy the ride.

  9. RUN
good Flash Trail 5.91 mi 00:54 09:04 pace

Deep and slippery mud. Testing my balance and giving the legs a bit of a thrashing too. I've not run this route for a while, and now I remember why! Fun to splash through the water and squelch thro... read more

  10. RUN
great Culcheth Half 13.11 mi 01:54 08:42 pace

Great outing with Paul M. Some strong winds today with the middle miles being particularly blustery. Sometimes it's at your back, sometimes in your face. Back at home for 9am with 13.1 in the bag.... read more

  11. RUN
    blah East Lancs 8 8.02 mi 01:10 08:42 pace

A joyless affair. Sluggish, unsatisfying and generally naff. Miles in the bank anyway. Must get some sleep & hydration before Sunday's long run.

  12. RUN
    alright 5.65 mi 00:47 08:14 pace

Gotta get the running week kicked off somehow... an OK run. Feeling heavy and tired. I need more sleep.

  13. RUN
    great 3.98 mi 00:45 11:20 pace

Run with Mrs C to round out the day. Two run Sunday! I'll sleep tonight alright.

  14. RUN
    great Bents 10 10.02 mi 01:25 08:31 pace

Excellent run with Paul M. We ran from darkness to dawn as the brilliant sun climbed in to a cloudless sky. Thick frost, crisp air and great conversation.

  15. RUN
good East Lancs Half 13.13 mi 01:54 08:41 pace

13.13 on the 13th. (I'm not the superstitious type) Having not run this route for a while, and as it was cold, bright and misty this morning, it felt like the right thing to do. Happy Friday every... read more

  16. RUN
alright Short Loop 4.45 mi 00:36 08:08 pace

A bit blah tonight. Had a nasty greaseburger for lunch due to meeting rushing. Sitting very heavy down below.

  17. RUN
    great Bents 10 10 mi 01:23 08:19 pace

Rainy and grey, but not a bad run. Solo effort today as Paul M is off to the City v Utd game. I hope City do well, but United do better ;)

  18. RUN
great Byrom Wood via Garton Drive 3.72 mi 00:45 12:06 pace

Another milestone for Mrs C. 45 mins of running - very pleased with her continued progress. Windy today (the cause of many complaints from a certain quarter). I explained that complaining about the... read more

  19. RUN
good East Lanca 7 mi 01:00 08:34 pace

Sunrise 7. Frosty but calm. After a few days of high winds and rain (and a corresponding lack of sleep), it was a relief to get out.

  20. RUN
    good East Lancs 8 8.07 mi 01:08 08:25 pace

Morning outing with Paul M. Cold and bright, icy underfoot. Good miles and good conversation.
