I'm hoping I'll be able to get sub 2....BUT any time is a PR for my half so I'll just play it by feel on race day. Today I really REALLY pushed myself to get a better idea of what I was capable of. I'm going to take the rest of my runs easy here on out ;)

Yes, don't want to re-injure at this point! Should follow a training schedule. Mine lists a long easy run every weekend, plus a few tough and short training runs during the week.

@ JP here's my plan - http://www.runningwithspatulas.com/running/my-training the first calendar, I'm 4 weeks out :) I just needed to prove to myself I could push through 13 miles I'm actually thinking about changing up my long run distances and begin tapering them next week, so go 12, 11, 10, race. instead of what's written on my plan

that;s quite a training plan... if you can do it, you'll be able to run a half in your sleep! My training plan for my first half was like this: I had a broken leg so I couldn't train for anything until 2 weeks before the race. So I started gradually building up my strength in the leg by doing some minor runs and then it was race day and I somehow managed to run 2.03 with no fuelling and no hydration. I hope you won;t suffer the way I did.

well I sure suffered horribly from it! I was in pain for about a day. I guess that's not much, considering that the first time I played squash I was in pain for a week LOL. But if you do all that training, you'll be very ready indeed.
