  2. RUN
good West Side Highway 6.25 mi 00:59 09:25 pace

First not-unpleasant NYC run in 2 weeks! Perhaps because I get to go back to SF tonight, and all my stupid work events are over?? :)

  3. RUN
alright West Side Highway 4.02 mi 00:37 09:12 pace

Meh. Windy, dirt & dust blowing in my eyes.

  4. RUN
good West Side Highway / Errands 3.68 mi 00:33 08:59 pace

Humid then rainy. I don't think I've experienced warm weather + big raindrops since I left Chicago/Pittsburgh 7 years ago! The rain felt good. Ended with an errand to buy a yoga mat and m... read more

  10. Garmin-users: what watch do you have, and would you recommend it? My beloved Forerunner 205 no longer stays on for over 3.5 hours. My only specific need: the ability to program my own interval work... read more

i've got the forerunner 110 in pink and grey. I love how light it is compared to my old chunky one, but it isn't as specific during a mile telling me my pace - it estimates what the pace will be at the end of the mile. if that makes any sense? Also, i don't really use it to sync data to dm or ever look at my mile splits, so it's just really good for every run, while i'm running.

I have had the 405CX for almost 4 years now. Love it. But then again, I am an engineer and love numbers. I have programed my own interval workouts many a time. Plus, when we moved, I went for a 20 miler and got lost at mile 16. It helped me find my way back home.

Nice hike! I've run those trails on my way from the Bort Meadow Staging Area to the Lake Chabot Marina a couple times - beautiful, yet lightly used and one of the less hilly routes in the EB Parks.

Oooh, great idea! I definitely want to do more east bay park running - I'll give that a try. I was amazed at how few people we saw - only one hiker and 2 bikes the entire time.
