First ever cycling event for the Parent Child Resource Center. It's a nonprofit that provides mental health services to kids, I've been on their board for many years, I was really happy that the event went so well! Everything ran smoothly, the cyclists all seemed to have a great time so hopefully they will all bring friends next year :) Almost immediately after we started off, I got a flat tire. The rider who was marshaling us fixed it for me (I seriously need to learn how to do that by myself!) and we caught up with other riders after about 4 or 5 miles. The course went through Shelton, Derby and Ansonia - holy hills batman. But parts of the course were really scenic, as were the rest stops at Jones' Farm and winery (they didn't give out any wine!) and the Kellogg Estate. Good practice for next weekend's tri in the Litchfield Hills, don't think that one's going to be flat either!

good for you to help out PCRC, nice distance to finish off the week Susan
