  1. RUN
    good 1.92 mi

Mostly walking with some spurts of running

  2. RUN
    good Shakespeare 2.01 mi 00:17 08:31 pace

I set out to do 2 fast miles since Jeremy had the stroller and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to run them, especially since Ryland decided to eat like a newborn last night.

  3. walk
    good 0.51 mi 00:07:35 14:52 pace

    cooldown

  4. RUN
good Ida Bell Young Park 2.63 mi 00:25 09:26 pace

Battled some pretty epic humidity this morning. It was 80 degrees and felt like I was running through a cloud at times.

  5. walk
    good AUM 2.46 mi 00:55 22:21 pace

    Nice evening family walk.

  6. walk
    alright 0.55 mi

    cool down

  7. RUN
    alright 3.52 mi 00:35 09:58 pace

Despite Ryland waking me up at 6:20 this morning, I wasn't able to get us out the door until close to 8, and it was 8:15 (and well over 80 deg.) by the time my feet hit the road. Comparing thi... read more

Yeah, that heavy air is painful to adjust to right now. Good job getting out in it and getting it done!

It's hard not to look at people like, say, you, and get discouraged because you handle it so much better. I just have to remember that its always been extra hard for me.

I'm not going to say I don't understand that because I do - meaning I compare myself to other runners too much for all sorts of reasons. However, in this particular case: a) I run every single morning at the same time so I think my acclimation has been more of a sure and steady thing and b) I really don't seem to require as much water in the heat as many of you do. So yes, no comparisons! You're awesome as you are, even handling temps 10 degrees hotter than I am. :)

Good miles. I'm an afternoon/evening workout person myself.

  8. walk
    good AUM 1.4 mi

    cool down with Jeremy

  9. RUN
    good AUM 2.59 mi 00:24 09:25 pace

I did pretty well considering it was 90 in the shade just before sunset and it was too soon after eating dinner. Taking walk breaks is definitely better than stopping.

  10. RUN
    alright 2.96 mi

Saturday's run. There was some rain, which felt nice, but I had a weird pain in the top of my right ankle.

  11. walk
    good 0.2 mi

    cool down

  12. RUN
    good 4.16 mi 00:43 10:12 pace

Mostly running with some walking. I ran up the longest hill yet with the stroller (.27 mi.) Happy National Running Day!

  13. RUN
    good Shakespeare 2.97 mi

Breezy & hot (I didn't get out there until after 10:30), so it was somewhat fortuitous that I forgot my Garmin. It wasn't even possible for me to worry about pace, and I was able to a... read more

  15. RUN
    alright AUM 1.15 mi 00:10:34 09:11 pace

I was a little sick Tuesday, and didn't have much of an appetite yesterday, so I wasn't sure how it would go today. When my stomach started hurting, I figured I better listen and stop ru... read more

Walking while Ryland drinks his bottle + cool down

  18. RUN
    good 1.48 mi 00:14:17 09:39 pace

Run part 1 (until Ryland needed a bottle) took it pretty easy.

  19. walk
good To the splash pad & back 1.22 mi

Jeremy & I took Ryland down to the splash pad. Ryland's still not too fond of the cool water, but Jeremy & I had fun.
