Set out to take one of the dogs with me; ended up with my youngest son (13). He was good company for a very short while. Gonna have to get back in the swing of things and get my boys out there with me!

Sherry, glad to see you back! We got one about 5 years ago from that fitness place @ 14 and Woodward. I forget the brand but it's the base model and I think it was about $1200. Sounds expensive but it doesn't wobble at all. My one complaint is that I do have to maintain it, stupid stuff like dusting under it so that it doesn't smell like it's burning up after about 30 min :). Get a rubber mat to put under it if you are putting it on carpet.

The gym membership for both of us was not being used properly so we decided to put the money towards a treadmill.
We chose the Nordic Trak 14.0 - it has a different model number in North America, it's sturdy but home machines are never as sturdy as the commercial models. It has some bells & whistles, reviewed well, good size motor (v important). Make sure you have the room, we do - just! Will you use it, it's a big and expensive clothes horse if not.6 months ago • Like

@ Gavin: So true. You nailed both my major concerns. I really want to say that we have room for one, but in all reality, we don't. At least not where it would be convenient to use. I'm looking at a few gym membership possibilities now. Will probably end up going that route. Thanks for your reply.
