I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing. I've been running seriously (just marathons) for my third year and I thought I wanted to progress into triathlons. I really don't like biking or swimming, though, the way I do running. I have a friend who is planning to run Arkansas Trail 100 mile ultra in October and he's looking for a pacer for the last 33 miles. Inspired by your story, I think think it would be fun to help him out the way Darin did for you. Maybe 2013 will be my year for my first 100.

Going good. Water boys missed her because she is ahead of pace. 40 miles at 8 miles 11 min. That is if the boards are right. Darren going to start running with her in a little bit. Rain has stopped. Hoping for another update. Head water boy Henry is texting me and I'm watching the boards. Hard not being there with her.

Glad the blisters have drained. That surgery of toenails sounds painful, but podiatrists probably do a great job.
