great 7 road 10 trail 17 mi 02:45 09:42 pace

it is amazing the difference 20 degrees can make. i did this run last week with a little longer road portion and did not make it through my handheld. today i ran out of water before mile 10. i felt stretched the last couple of miles (good for the conditioning). details: 17 miles of running (10 miles on trail) in republic, mo. (trail portion in wilson's creek national battlefield); average: 9:42; up/down: 1,384/-1,384; calories: 2,678; body: 8; temp: 58 f; wind: sw 9; weather: fair; shoes: nfew (683 miles). We should run together. Our runs today were of similar length and pace but 1000 miles apart. I'll be in Tulsa, OK next week. How far is that from you?

thx all. @phil: 175 miles, i would run out there to meet you but i need to save my legs for a 50k in chicago next saturday :) @michael: yeah, some adjusting will be needed. @angel: very true, and that is why i think it is probably the best local place for me to prepare for the kettle 100 :)
