Sunday Ride - Not a lot of sleep this weekend, but a great time with friends. I knew a couple of the younger people wanted to go skiing if the wind was down so I was hanging out waiting for them to get out of bed. We were going to have brunch at 11:00 and I didn't know how much time we would have after brunch. Around 9:00 I finally decided to go for a ride. I figured they wouldn't want to go skiing when they first got up, and then we had brunch scheduled. That left plenty of time for a ride though. And I was hoping the weather would cooperate and let them ski after brunch.

Another beautiful day with a 5mph breeze, sunny and absolutely perfect with temps in the low 70's! I had no real expectations regarding pace for this ride since I had a couple of decent rides the previous 2 days. I decided to simply enjoy the ride and not worry about pace. It was also nice to see so many other cyclists out along this route on a Sunday morning.

There really wasn't much to report on this ride other than trying to stay within my comfort zone. Again I was pleasantly surprised with the pace, but that's what riding a relatively flat route will do for you. :-) I never pushed hard, I never really let up. Just a nice steady ride out and back. I was able to cruise back to the camp just in time for a quick shower and brunch!!

After cleaning up and getting the boat ready, we were able to get a few hours of boating done. The weather was again beautiful with sunny skies, a light breeze and temperatures in the low 80's. Perfect!! The younger ones did a great job skiing too!! I'm really glad they had another chance to get out on the skis Sunday. Although after Saturday, they didn't have a lot left!! A fantastic weekend!!
