I still can't believe how much I stink at these!! On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm about a negative 5! I guess that speaks to how much I need to be doing push ups!
Thanks Robert J. and Mike N. for the suggestion of using a fist instead of flat handed. Although I'm still trying to get used to that style, my wrists are much happier for it!
Week 1, Day 1 Repeat - Goal is 5 sets as follows: 10/12/7/7/9+ with the last set doing as many as you can, but at least 9. I allow a 60 second recovery between sets. I managed to hit the minimum requirement for Day 1, but just barely. I was shaking so much coming up on the last push up that I thought I was going to drop! How embarassing would it be to have to explain that broken nose! :-)
Looking forward to doing another Week 1, Day 1 later in the week. Okay, maybe I'm not looking forward to it, but I have to get over this hump!! And I will!!!! :-D

You'll make it! Very nice job!

If they were easy, everybody would be doing them. I think it says a lot about you that you're not gonna let it beat you xx

Fantastic Mike!! That is huge!! You have been consistently killing this program. I know you had a day or two where you weren't feeling it but in general, you really did a great job with this one! I know I'll get there one day. It just seems so far away right now. :-)

I did that 100 pushups program for a while. 100 is TOUGH. I think I got up to 50.

Thanks Jon and Scott!! @Scott J., I did 45 in 5 sets and it's going to take me 2 days to recover!! :-) I'll get there. It might not be until the snow flies, but I'll get there.

Very good point. On the up side, we had temps in the 80's in March! :-)

10/12/7/7/9+ is way more than a couch potato could ever do. Great job Scott!

Great job! Push ups are HARD, especially trying to get to 100. Kudos for stepping up to the challenge. I've always used dumb bells (the pentagon shaped for a flat surface) to grip on instead of using palms or my fists.
