I know, right! Well, I tried to swap the pedals from my MTB with the road bike. Sadly, they don't fit. So I put the pedals back on both bikes and hit the indoor trainer. It's just recovery this week, so not really a big deal. At least I have the central air cranked up so the ride isn't so tough.
I tried to maintain a steady pace that felt "comfortable". I didn't look at my pace or speed in an effort to just find "comfortable". It was a little faster than I expected, but not too bad. My left quad did start feeling a little tired towards the end of the ride. With all the cramping I experienced in my quads, groin and hamstrings towards the end of Saturday's ride, I shouldn't be surprised. I was tempted to spin a few more miles tonight, but I have to keep in mind it's supposed to be about recovery.

"Great Scott"...nice spin!

Indoor time can be very beneficial. I learned quite a bit of Italian this past winter while on the indoor trainer. Something like that might help slow you down for recovery as well.

At a 20.5 mph pace, it sounds like you put the pedals to the metal.

Thanks Joe and Robert. I am using light resistance, so it's not really all that impressive. :-)

Nice recovery spin, Scott. Bummer about the pedal swap not working out, though. Looks like you may just need to get you a new pair of cycling shoes. Darn it!
