I discovered a slow leak in my rear tire Monday morning. I took that as an opportunity to put on the new tires I bought last Fall. Color coordinated with the bar tape! I may still look like crap, but at least the bike looks good. :-)

That's what I say! I don't have the best looking bike but I am having a ton of fun!

The color looks good and well what matters more is the ride and the rider on the ride... A little variety does add spice to the overall experience. Way to go.

Awesome pic. I like the bike and I like the backdrop. Riding on a bike that isn't color coordinated is a sin. Well, sort of. LOL

Nice Scott. It doesn't matter how you look - us bikies only see the bike anyway ;-) LOL

Love the pic Scott!

Thanks everyone! @Parth, the rider matters more? Oh no! I'm in trouble. :-) @Joe, they are the Specialized S-Works Turbo. They are supposed to be somewhat puncture resistent too. Let's hope so. :-) @Robert, I have to agree. @Ravi, Ask away! Plenty of people on DM who can and will help. @26, excellent point! :-)

The bike looks great! I like the black/red theme-very Darth Maul!! I just bought a new Obera helmet primarily because it color coordinated perfectly with my Bike! Happy riding, Scott!

Thanks Scott. You are right about the matchy, matchy thing. I'm a proponent for Garanimals - for men's clothing, cycling components, etc. :-)

Color schemes hold no value when you're just a blur as you pass the masses! LOL!! Best of luck tomorrow for a great ride Scott!

Thanks Brian!! I think you had a typo in your comment. You said "blur" when you meant to say "blob". :-D But I'm working on it! :-)

There was just an article in the last Bicycling Magazine (July, p40) According to the Bicycling Fashion Police, you can color match the seat and tape or the seat and tires, but not the tires and tape. Hope you don't get a ticket! (haha). PS: Personally, I think it looks great.

Thanks for the tip Michael! I might have to start carrying a can of black spray paint in case I get stopped!! :-) I'm glad you like it. Obviously, I like it too. :-)

I have a Bianchi Infinito and it came with matching tape and wheels (both white); you'd think the Italians would know "style."
