great Cowtown Ultra-Marathon (50K) 31.07 mi 05:23 10:24 pace

My first Ultra! Ran the first 23.4 miles with my wife and she was awesome. We then split as she finished up the marathon and I took off down the remainder of the Ultra path. Gorgeous weather and the legs got strong toward the end. After cruising at a 10:45/mile pace for the first 26.2, I cranked out the last 4.8 at a 8:33/mile clip. Wicked fun! The volunteers were awesome and it was such a blessing to share all this with my beautiful bride. Next stop...Boston!

    Hey, thanks. We'll see how "freaky" I can get. I was very surprised at how strong I was toward the end, so I don't think this is it for me. I guess a 50 miler will have to be the next goal...to be continued.
