RUN
alrightSpringwater Corridor Long Run 18.27 mi 03:43 12:11 paceIt was a really nice day for running with a lot of clouds, a little bit of sun, and even a rain shower. Everything after the halfway point was a little bit of a struggle. Knees and feet were compla... read more

Nice Job:
You remind me of myself in 2008 training for my first marathon. I ran about the same pace as well.

WTG Sho!! That's an awesome distance to conquer. To me, 18 always marks a line between doable and challenging...once a run is over 18 I get nervous several days in advance ;) Impressive! I don't know how you do it alone!

Awesome job! Reading your training updates is like looking into my future. I'll be right there in November. You're doing great!

RUN
alrightSpringwater Corridor 5.03 mi 00:49 09:44 paceThis makes three days in a row of running; that's something I haven't done in a while! Felt decent, with little to no pain in the knees. There is, however, a new hotspot in my *other* foot in the s... read more

Sho, have you tried injinji nuwool socks? They eliminated every single hot spot I ever had when I was going through my transition. They may work for you as well. http://www.amazon.com/injinji-Quarter-Length-Toesocks-Medium/dp/B000MB8VNK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1282349873&sr=8-3
Best socks I have found to eliminate hot spots. Same ones I was wearing @ Lacamas.

RUN
alrightSpringwater Corridor 8.09 mi 01:30 11:04 paceHad a easy-going, decent run today. Loving the clouds in the morning and early afternoons right now. I'm trying to work on increasing my weekly mileage rather than my speed, as getting used to runn... read more

RUN
alrightSpringwater Corridor 4.02 mi 00:40 09:53 paceTook an extra day of rest because my right knee has had twinges of pain since the long run on Sunday. I felt pretty good starting out, but I must have gone a little too fast because I felt a little... read more

goodSpringwater Corridor Long Run 17.28 mi 03:25 11:52 paceI worried that the many beers I consumed at the kickball tournament on Saturday would affect my long run today, but I felt surprisingly good. I guess keeping hydrated all day and getting to bed ear... read more

RUN
tiredSpringwater Corridor 2.95 mi 00:29 09:57 paceThis was truly a run appropriate for Friday the 13th. I started out aiming to do eight miles, then cut it to six, then four, and finally three miles. I blame the rising morning temperatures and a s... read more

RUN
goodSpringwater Corridor 4.02 mi 00:37 09:07 paceNice, slightly fast run on the Springwater today before it got too warm. Seems like the edge of the right insole that came with my Supernovas is creating a hotspot under my right foot's arch. Must ... read more

Nice Job:
Thats not good at all, the hotspots that is.

Yeah, hotspots suck. I think I may have to cover that section of the insole with duct tape. That solved the problem with another shoe (which was my old pair of Supernovas, I think!).

goodSpringwater Corridor Long Run 11.08 mi 01:59 10:44 paceA shorter long run this week as per the Hal Higdon marathon plan. Ran it a little faster than most of my previous long runs and felt pretty good. I also gave my Brooks Adrenalines a cleaning yester... read more
