Mid-morning short run

Thought everything was going well, had a nice, easy pace going, and I was feeling relaxed. But then an odd tightness/dull pain started up in my thigh. I stopped and stretched, but it kept up. So I walked it on home. Feels like a groin pull, so I think I need a few days of no running. I might be bummed later, but right now I feel pretty sanguine. Hey, at least it wasn't my calf!

Smart to walk with it, I have had a groin pull they can be tricky, the higher up it is the more troubling. Ice, ice and heat. Really be careful stretching cuz in my experience it can be bad if over done. My groin pull took months to recover. I am hoping its a strain.

I have had a couple of groin pulls before and this one doesn't feel too bad. I have been icing it, and decided against stretching. That's interesting Don, that the higher, the worse it is. This one is lower than my previous ones, and it's towards the front. I'm just taking a few days off running, and we'll see how things feel later on this week...
