Been struggling with a respiratory virus the past couple of days (in case you missed me). So I wasn't sure about going to the first yoga class in months, but I had signed up and there's nothing like signing up for a class to compel me. I was glad I went of course. The yogini doesn't have the spiritual depth of my previous teacher, but she's really, really good at proper alignment - the class is small, so she can come around to everyone. The class is not as advanced as my previous one, but I have no problem going "back to the basics," since I actually never went there at the beginning of my practice. I kind of just jumped into the deep end, so I'm happy to do something that feels pretty darn comfortable (especially on a sick day). And really yoga is your own practice, especially when you've been doing it for a couple of years - it's really nice to be in a space where I just throw in a couple of chaturangas, planks, etc, and know that I'm doing just fine.


I missed you and am sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. A gentle yoga class is a great way to ease back into things. I hope you are you are feeling 100% soon!

Yes, we DID miss you, Anna! Sorry about the virus and hope you're recovering well. Nice that you found a decent sounding yoga class. I think there's a lot to be said for *both* exploring one's limits, and regularly returning to the basics! And yes, yoga is ultimately our own practice; each session is what we make it.
