First "race" since December, boy was it a rust buster. For one, I had a lot of breathing problems on this run, for the first time ever. I kept feeling, well, asthmatic--like I couldn't get enough air, and that I had to cough something out of my lungs (NB: I don't have asthma, as far as I know). It was pretty muggy, so I hope that was the problem. But it was a little frustrating.

But when the first mile clicked by in 7:47 I was surprised it didn't slow me down as much as I thought. Second mile: 7:32. Third mile: 8:07 (wahh). Last 0.5 mile: 7:34.

9th female at my company (I didn't do an official count but there's at least 300 of us), 360-something out of 15,000ish runners. Not too bad.
