@Kelli - That is the problem with being a Math geek - I count laps, look at my watch and do calculations almost the entire run. I didn't want to finish with 1/4 lap left. So, I either had to coast the last lap or turn it up for the last 3. I took the coasting route...And, I don't know about cooking, but I haven't run that fast in a couple years!

Kevin, I enjoy the Mojo people. Can always find someone "my speed" to run with. Come on out some time - Sat 8AM, Tues 6:30PM. Tues eve they also have a coach leading speed work instead of distance. They mix up the routes pretty good, so sometime hills sometimes flat.

Rachelle - It's the Mason Indoor Du the Du or Tri the Tri. It's a timed event vs. distance. So, they count how many laps you swim in 10 minutes, bike miles in 30 minutes and how many run laps in 20 minutes. Fun event. Great "off-season" event.

yay, double digits! Are the calves from cycling or running? My calves have been at it since Disney. My calves never bother me during running.

I have had calve problems for the past 2 years. And it's only with running for me. I have been out a couple times because they pull in the middle of the run. Need more stretching for hams and calves, especially when I am not running. I think I need to get back to yoga too.

90 minutes on the treadmill. Couple of pick-ups toward the end.

how fast do you think you go on hills? Just wondering what I could be doing on hills.

Depends on the hill. Hard, out of the saddle climbs are probably around 7-8mph. On long inclines that require using highest gear, I try and keep it around 10, but if is LONG I can hold 10 for more than a mile or so and will drop to 9s. To quote from the "S**t bike riders say video: "I am not a climber"

Oh yeah, and on the trainer, simulating a hill by going Big ring in front smallest on the back and standing, I am usually going around 12-13.
