This run was supposed to happen yesterday but after a 14 hour day at work the only thing I was doing was drinking beer and going to bed. Took off today just for the heck of it, even though it's busy as can be.
Jogged over to McDaniel College track and did:
6,5,4,3,2,1 'on'; 2 minutes 'off' on 6,5,4 and 1 minute 'off' on 3,2,1.
'On' paces were 8:30, 8:10, 7:50, 7:25, 7:10, 6:45; 'off' pace was around 9:00. Cruised home, the long way, downhill most of the way, felt really good. Next time I do this workout the 'on' paces will all be under 8:00.
First run in my new shoes. Went to the running shoe store yesterday and sipped some Newton Koolaide...that was all she wrote. Could be love.
