Oh boy did I ever have energy to burn tonight.
I went with a group that was doing 4K. But since I was running ahead of the group I circled around and got some extra distance. It was nice to see familiar faces and also have a chance to do some zen running. I loaded up a short playlist and just kind of zoned out and ran ran ran.
I needed this and it was probably the most perfect run in a while.
The past few months, even though I am still doing my own training, I am always running with someone, talking to people, since I'm a coach and run leader and while I LOVE it. I also NEED my "me" time. I'm a very introverted person, despite having come out of my shell. And it has been a long while since I had a good peaceful run. Perfect.
I got some last minute notes from friends and fellow runners and I'm so grateful, they're so awesome and so supportive. Lots of hugs and good luck wishes. I think they think I'm going to get lost during the race on Sunday haha
I intend on making Sunday's run just as perfect. I want it to be relaxing and peaceful. I know it will be hard, tough and I might be thinking at times "what have I gotten myself into". But I think it'll be a nice time to just be by myself and chill. I haven't had a lot of that lately. So I'm gonna embrace it.
The same goes for the rest of the time up till MCM. I'll be running my own runs and not leading a group until November so I'll get some me-time again. I look forward to it. :)
