There's no way I would do that and the full marathon but having done a half before I'm not nearly as nervous. Doing the half, I told my husband I should get to the finish about the time the full marathoners get there.

I ordered mine after a car aimed at me on the road. He seriously moved over toward me and there was no one else on the road. They have a feature where you can put all your medical info online and first responders can call or go the the website with the serial number on your ID to pull it up. With all my medication I figured that would be worth it.

I spent all day making Ham and beans and let it simmer when I went to my p's (where I got drunk on 2 drinks). And all day I told my husband we have to eat some even if it's just a spoonful...didn't eat any. I'm superstitious too!

It's a southern thing. If you grow up in the south you are told that you have to eat black eyed peas on New Year's otherwise you will have a bad year. My mother fed me black eyed peas from a can but I make them from dried beans with bacon, brown sugar, onion, garlic, and thyme. Even families that don't bat an eye on Friday the 13th still eat black eyed peas on New Year's and most restaurants where I grew up would give a small complimentary serving.
