good Lone Peak from School house s... 12.42 mi 08:30 41:05 pace

Great 360 degree panoramas including salt lake. The hike to the north peak is exposed and felt sketchy. Probably better to do this one with a partner. 6400ft of climb.

What shoes?? My Lone Peak... read more

good Cascade springs to Jordan/Pro... 6.36 mi 02:23 22:30 pace

Pretty hike along little deer creek for first section. The hill was a 1000ft climb over one mile in hot exposed conditions. I was so glad for the steady breeze throughout the hill climb/descent.

  3. VELO
    good 25.04 mi 04:19 5.8mph pace

Fun Bike. I have never biked so far or so fast. We were going fast on the initial downhill. One of the boys went head over handlebars and was lucky to only come away with some bad road rash. He... read more

  5. RUN
    good Squaw Peak 50 52.45 mi 15:43 17:58 pace

I think my watch is off. I would be interested to know if anyone else recorded the whole race. The elevation gain through my altimiter is 9459 but is 13500 via GPS data.

  6. RUN

    Legs feel OK.

  7. RUN

  8. RUN
good Rock canyon to cascade saddle... 16.3 mi 06:15 23:00 pace

Epic run. Mostly a hike. Brief moments of terror sliding down glacier on the backside. Saw another owl and my first snake of the year.

  9. VELO
    good Riverwoods 5.5 mi 00:45 7.3mph pace

Tight hamstrings. Tough keeping up with the scouts.
I was glad when we arrived safely home.

Over 6000 ft climb. Could not quite get to cascade saddle but had fun sliding down.

  11. RUN
good south fork to shingle mill ca... 7.34 mi 02:17 18:39 pace

Lumberjack run. Took my ax and saw and cleared all but one of the trees off the trail. There was one that was too big to cut through.

  12. RUN
good little valley to top of Bozun... 12.95 mi 04:01 18:34 pace

2651 ascent. Bozung hill is not nearly as bad with 6 miles under your belt instead of 36.

  13. RUN

  15. RUN
good South Fork to Shingle Mill Ca... 7.3 mi 02:13 18:13 pace

Lots of snow towards the top. Very tough going. Many downed trees across trail. I cleared some but others will require a saw. I hope that snow starts melting fast.
