This is one of those runs you kind of dread. Why? Because as soon as you step outside it hits you smack in the face….heat, humidity, and glaring sunshine. It was hotter today than it was yesterday and yesterday I was blurred from dehydration. Today, I was much wiser…I brought my 20oz handheld Amphipod filled mostly with ice. No iPod, just a quick 6 miler. Pace was easy and comfortable…I never really pushed at all today and still maintained an even 8:20 pace most of the way. Tomorrow calls for more heat and an 8 miler to finish the week with 50 miles. Gotta go early.
