    great morning yoga 00:20

A short run in the cold air always wakes me up. I found out this morning that yoga doesn't work the same way. Wish I could go back to bed. At least I got in some good stretching this mornin... read more

No running for a while, but I can still ride a bike! The pressure on my foot was enough for me to feel the ache, but no serious pain. My husband and I just did an out-and-back on the gravel rail ... read more

So sorry to hear this. I thought I had a stress fracture, but it wasn't one after all. But I wasn't in as much pain as you are describing. Cortisone shot and about 2 weeks of no running helped. Do you have access to a pool for pool running?

Sandra, I am so sorry about your injury, but you can be proud of that impressive streak - over a thousand days - WOW!

Please take it easy and give your self time to heal. Bask in the glory of the streak for a while before you set your next goal. It does not sound like this will put an end to your running, but speaking as one whose body told him that running was done, I can say there is an active life without running. Maybe I'll see you at the Long Trail Century ride.

      Take care and God bless.

I missed this until now, its quite a streak even if it is done. So sorry to hear about your foot, but its good to see you are finding other things to keep you sane (Yoga and biking). I hope you heal quickly and get back to full strength. I'm just 500 days from catching you now... (I know, I'm a brat ;-))

I have never met a coyote on my back roads. Don't really want to find out how they respond to people. So, your son doesn't lock his car? That's Vermont for you!

Nice run for a drowned rat. Today was a gnarly mountain race for me for RSD 499, so tomorrow is a landmark for me. BTW my daughter is now in 6th grade and I love helping with math homework now, common core math was frustrating at times in earlier grades and I know I'll have to dust off the cobwebs on high school math later but right now is just an easy sweet spot for me.
