Okay, one off of the Bucket List.
Today's ride has been a goal for 3 years. Our daughter attends college in Lancaster, PA. She plays field hockey. When we drove her to school the first time we remarked the route would be a very do-able ride. Beautiful, rolling farmland.
Bob attained the goal last fall, today was my turn. 47.7 mies, 3842 elevation. The wind was not in our favor with 12 mph constant and 20 + mph gusts. Only one bad dog, One crazy truck driver, one car driver who needed his license taken away.
Over all very pleased with the ride. Avhr of 143, Cadence 76. Legs felt strong. Only wish I had a better base to do the round trip! That would be 8000 elevation!
Felt really awesome riding onto the athletic complex with our cycling team jerseys for the school. Felt very pleased with meeting my goal. Equally, on the drive home going down hills I had climbed only a few hours before!
Great game as well, we won! Nice tailgate after with great food and fellowship!

So awesome that you got to cross this off your bucket list... Congrats on a job WELL DONE! Good STUFF!

Where do you run to, Most of the city is flat to rolling. it's in the valley. The surrounding areas are hilly on the roads surrounding the city. No different than some of the hills in Cecile and harford.

just looked at the map. The park is on the south east end of the area. flat and rolling. It's off of 222. do you run on that or side streets

Reach the Beach. It is a running relay in NH leaving Cannon Mountain Ski area and running down the state and across (200 miles) to Hampton Beach. I was on a 12 "man" team. There are ultra teams as well. Lots of fun and sleep depravation. Kind of like being in college again only smellier.
