Another ride on the trainer. Took a few days off on the count of some people landing on me and straining my IT band. Im trying to move forward not back so I took it easy.

good TRAINER RIDE!!!!! 00:30
HOT DIGGITY DAMN!!! First trainer ride since surgery. Progressing quickly. Going snowshoeing on Saturday and riding on monday.
-
OHYEAH! Congrats for getting back on the bike after surgery! I found icing after the drainer helped reduce the need for rest days when starting back up after scoping. Good luck on your ride to full recovery!

Back in the ole saddle! You'd probably be happier outside, but riding is better than sitting.

Any advice for riding MTB on or off the snow in winter? Especially bike care and what to where. Anything would be appreciated.
-
Wide open questions given conditions but here goes.
If snow is not too deep (i.e. can ride through it) drop the pressure in your tires for extra grip. How low will depend upon your weight and suspension.
Care: Pam on your cleats and pedals to keep the snow off or you'll never get into them when you step out.
DM char limit. See next.

There won't be any sand if you stick to the trails unless they sand them in your area. As for the snow, bounce the bike a few times to get the snow off of it, then rack it on top of the car for the ride home. Most if not all snow will be gone by the time you get home. It will remain cold so none of it should melt. If you used a dry lube for the chain and such you should be pretty clean. Brush off what's left and you're done. If you store it indoors and you get any melting, then you may need to clean/lube

Clean, clean and clean. Salt is your enemy. Rinse the bike with LOTS of clean water after the ride. You have to get the salt off it.
