Tabata Intervals

The short but deadly Tabata Protocol. 20 seconds sprint, 10 seconds rest for 8 rounds. 12% treadmill incline. It only hurts for 4 minutes...

I've been wanting to do these this year, but have been kind of building up to it slowly. I'm doing a lot of sprinting, but not the full-on Tabata kind.
Do you normally find it takes a long time to recover from a Tabata session, or is it similar to any other kind of hard run, in terms of recovery?

Tabata won't mess you up for long. You'll just be really tired afterwards

You are a brave, ass-kicking man. I've found great joy in Yassos (sprinting for a half mile + 4 minutes recovery) but dang it's exhausting. Nice intervals! Gotta love the strong feeling afterward!

Sounds great. I'll find a morning next week to do Tabatas and make those 4 minutes count.

Yassos are cool too. 800s are my favorite intervals. The perfect distance. But you gotta sprint sometime too.
