Track and share your training!
Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.
Way back in 1978 I thought I had seen enough of the barbells and dumbells and set forth upon building my carrier in hotel industry........
Almost 35years later I get the urge to go live in the Gym , tone my weak muscles for better, effective, efficient running...

Sounds like a good plan, Saqeb...I say go for it.

U have to. It stimulates bone growth and protects bones. It's a proven fact that the muscles of a younger man and an older man are no different. If u use them u won't lose them!!!

100% on the money Saqeb. The weight training will increase your endurance as well as limit body breakdown. Well done my friend. Peace.

My father-in-law ran 48 marathons. Health issues sidelined him. He struggles with run/performing below "his level." Hope you find the strength to "find your new level" after setting the bar way up there years ago. Good luck.

Use It or Loose It ! That is the mantra Saqeb. Fauja Singh started training for Marathon in the 80's and ended his last Marathon recently at the age of 101 Yrs. So age is not the criteria as long your body is able to take the training load. Strength Training helps in this respect.

Heck yeah! The only reason I do strength training is to become a better runner! Now that I think of it, everything else I do fitness related has to do with be becoming a better runner haha d:
