71 deg 92%humidity @ start 75 deg 85% humidity @ end. Got up early and took Remy out to take care of his business and got him situated and headed out to meet up with Tad S. and Gail N. at the Forsyth Big Creek Greenway. First time running out there and definitely won't be the last. Nice combination of bike paths and wooden bridges. Also saw Laura S. out there. I was shooting for an out and back which would be 13.6 mi while the other 2 were going longer. Goal was to stay between 8:15-8:30/mi pace. Weather was awesome and the run seemed really short. Amazing what some company can do. Lots of runners out there getting ready for the fall racing season. Splits were :8:53, 8:21, 8:25, 8:14, 8:07, 8:11, 8:16, 8:14, 8:09, 8:16, 8:13, 8:15, 7:18, and 6:33/mi pace for the last .63 miles. I picked it up the last 1.3 miles as Gail and Tad turned to meet someone else and get the rest of their miles in. Felt good to feel like my legs could find another gear after 12 miles.

Sounds like a great run, Sang!

Great job! My mantra today will be: "run like Sang!" (just slower). Again, very admirable splits! Mine should be negative too, but I'm sure the downhill part will help ;) Glad I got to see this and get my motivation up after a sleepless night.

Look at you running a 7:18 last mile! You should have ditched me way earlier, and you could have done the whole thing sub-8. :-) Oh well, there is good value in having company too! It's always good running with you and having a great conversation. Glad the puppy is doing well. Get some rest, though!

@Gail I was a little surprised that my legs felt so good after 12 solid miles. I was probably around 6:50/mi pace after we split. Time went real fast today!
