Thanks to Wanda posting a link a couple of months ago, I received my 24 pack of GUs as well as a sampler of GU electrolytes for completing the Strava Challenge. Too bad I don't/can't use the stuff! So if and when we run together, I'll give you some.

@Amber It was a 30 day challenge from March 9 to April 9. You would have won it. 100 miles got 8 GUs and 200 miles got the 24 pack. I hope they do another one soon.

Do they make you sick, Sang? I have to be very careful too ... can't eat those power bars or gels. I stick with chia seed tea, oatmeal, before long runs.

@Elysia yes they do. Plus I have to drink so much water to get them down.

@Elysia. How do you make your chia tea? I made the mistake of making chia fresca and drinking a bunch right before a run....including the seeds. My stomach hurt the whole run. I sure would like to know how you use them because they are so good for you and I have alot of them. :)

@Cammy, I do one part chia to 8 parts water, mix, then let it sit a bit to make a gel. Then you just add the gel to what you want to drink. I use green iced tea and some honey. (If you just use water, the seeds will probably sink to the bottom. The honey -- or if you use sports drinks the sugar-- will help keep the seeds floating, at least for awhile.)
