Sorry it got ugly there at the end. That's a pretty tough workout though, and you haven't been doing much lately, so don't get too down on it. I say, it's a good starting point!

I'd still say a good workout Stu!

Hmmm, perhaps fueling or sleep was an issue? Looking at your garmin data, I don't see an obvious bump up when you did your pick and then a drop down for the "rest" portion. Were you allowing yourself recovery time between the pickups? Even though your results were not as desire, still a good workout and just a great thing to get outside and move. You still did 5 miles more than the vast majority of the American population, who are just lazing around on their couch all winter.

Fog run! I like running in fog. Good work hammering away at speedwork. Maybe you put in too much effort in the first three? Still good work.

Ummm... it was 5 miles of fartleks in freezing cold. Badass in my book!

@Brad, you're right. Just re-read the workout and discovered I did the speed play wrong... I was doing 10 second spurts, not 1-2 minute spurts. Thanks for pointing that out since I have the same workout Thursday.

@Ray, I lost the will to run. Just felt super tired. Also screwed up on the pick ups. Oh well, I'll get to do this again tomorrow morning.
