6 days agoAs an alternative to getting a Garmin I downloaded the Runkeeper app and ran with my iphone. It worked pretty well and the website it links to gave me splits, an elevation graph, a map, and more stats. Pretty handy!

8 days agoSo I'm trying to figure out what my goal pace should be for the half in April, so I decided to look up all my races from the last year. I was pleasantly surprised to see that less than a year ago I did a 10k at a 9:41 pace. If you had told me that thi... read more
6 minute miles. There I said it. :O) Seriously, how about 8 min miles? Ok, not sure. But your going to kick the half's ass!!!
9 days agoThanks Meaghan!
9 days agoThe running calculators (runners world has one too) are a good point of reference but far from exact since your training is more attuned for a particular distance. So if your training is more 5k/10k, then your 4-mile race pace will probably be better (according to the calculator) than your half pace. If you're putting in a lot of pure mileage, you may be able to do better than what it says. But 8:20-8:30 sounds like a good goal. Good luck!
9 days agoTraining for the More Half officially starts today! Warmup and speed intervals. I think I'm still a bit tired from Sunday's race effort..this kicked my butt!
Great job Steph. What training plan are you following?
