officially putting myself on the injured list. i was really excited to go to the track this morning to meet a new friend who just moved into town. he's an outstanding runner, and had offered to run me through a speed workout. this morning, however, my foot was just too bad... in fact it has been bad, but its now AWFUL. i rested it the last two days, but having had been on my feet all day for work/school-- it wasn't much better. so i just had to suck it up and bail. i did run a couple miles easy, but i may have to stop entirely for awhile.

That's terrible news. Hopefully the body just needs a few days to recover and it's not more serious than that. Keep us posted!

Are you going to go see a Dr.? It's good to listen to your body before it worsens greatly as much as that sucks so bad I know.

i don't think i am going to see a doctor as of yet. i developed plantar fascitis last september while training for freedoms marathon, and its gotten progressively worse--- to the point of being unable to run for the better part of the morning, and even causing a limp at times during the day. its even been impacting my form as ive been running off the side of my left foot to avoid pain.

Oh no Ryan!! Get better. Be careful with running on the side of your foot, your shins will be next, then you knee and hip. REST and get better!!!

Hope it gets better quickly! I had that about two years ago and it is a frustrating injury. (what injury isn't though, right?)

I really hate to hear this Ryan ... That stinks ... Hopefully it will heal quick and let you get back at it. Make sure you rest well though and dont cheat the needed healing time because that will make it better in the long run.
