Ran the Appalachian trail today in the rain. very technical trail section from Ashby gap to 605, especially with the rain/flooding/stream crossings. Impossible to accurately gauge distance so i simply estimated, although the last 6.2 miles i took the road back from Mt. Weather @ 8:18 pace... harder workout than i really planned for the day, so ill be resting up for awhile.

holy crap Mt. Weather is supposed to be killer! how does one get technically good on trails when said person is a total klutz?

Impressive run, Ryan! I'm sure that is a very difficult course. Rest up!

@Janet-- i can't answer that, i rolled my right ankle twice yesterday. first time running on a trail. what i want to know is how to cross streams in a race quickly when said streams are flooded and deep!
