great First Marathon distance run! 26.2 mi 05:15 12:01 pace

So it wasn't exactly fast... but I RAN A MARATHON! It was a training run, and it was extremely humid (90%+). This was a great run. My plan was simple, keep my HR at 155-160 and never, ever get above that. I figured that if I stayed right in the middle of my aerobic zone I wouldn't hit the wall; it worked. I definitely slowed down (did the 1/2 in 2:24), but I didn't ever need to crawl or anything :) I did a good amount of walk/run towards the end as my feet started to hurt a bit... yeah, I did it in a pair of vibrams.

Awesome run! Have you had any issues with durability of the Bikila sole pods? Have seen others reporting problems.

Nope, I haven't had any problems. My Bikila's have about 250-300 miles on them and they are just fine. There is definitely some some wear on the sole pods, but nothing has worn through our caused an issue. With your question, I grabbed them and inspected the soles pretty closely.

The places that are showing the most wear on mine are the toes with the nobby things worn down on a couple of the toes, the larger pad in the ball of the foot that runs down the arch area is wearing a bit, and the heel.
