I felt good doing this today. I didn't increase my speed through most of the run, except on the last 400 meters where I started to increase it to 8 miles/hour.

I was getting distracted half-way through the run, thinking about things I have to do today and how tired I'm feeling and that perhaps I should just stop because I already did two miles. But I was able to suppress it that negativity and made myself focus on the run, listening to my rhythm and relaxing my body. I notice that my body becomes tense towards the end of the run so I tried to just relax it to conserve energy.
