Great run, but really crappy rest of the day... I wasn't hydrated enough for the run and was really headachey and nauseous the rest of the day:( I'm hungry, but food is grossing me out... NOT a good sign! I'm dumb. I'm making myself eat some chicken an... read more

2 mile warm up, 4 miles@marathon pace- 28:47 total, 7:11 average, 2 mile cool down. This shouldn't have felt hard, but it was... my legs are toast! 18 mile long run tomorrow... we'll see how it goes!

  3. 9.5 mi

16 laps of fast straights and slow curves.. most fast (100m) were 19 or 20 seconds. I feel tired but good.

  5. 5 mi / 00:42 08:27 pace

Tired and achey.. on my feet all day, worked for 11 hours straight! Not the most fun run, but I got'er done!

  6. 5 mi / 00:43 08:34 pace

Good recovery run! Ran this in the AM... 10 hour work day today, on my feet, and I have another 5 miles this evening! akjdngjn

  7. 10 mi / 01:19 07:55 pace

Sunny and warm... ran in shorts and a t-shirt and felt fantastic. Why can't every day be like this? Legs still a little sore, and the top of my right foot is VERY sore, of all things... all that pounding on the downhill part of the race!

What kind of shoes are you wearing? Only time I've had top of foot pain was after trying to force a forefoot strike while wearing Vibrams - big mistake! Glad you had a nice day for a run, and excellent pace!

Well I wore the mizuno wave mushas for the race. I REALLY pounded my feet running fast on the downhills so I'm sure that's what caused the pain. The shoes have a little cushioning but nowhere near as much as my training shoes. It was probably the lack of shock absorption! Luckily the marathon I'm training for is very flat!:)

still no idea... there were 20,000+ people in the three events that were held yesterday morning (5K, 8K, 15K) so it's taking a little while:)
