Still slow but it was a very comfortable easy run. It makes me think I can keep up with Jennifer V. for the next 2 half marathons at her 12 min/mile pace. That should be very relaxing and fun. OK, maybe it will hurt because I haven't been putting in the miles but it will be miles for the NEXT race, right? Nothing like an untrained half with friends to jump start a run regular routine. I think I found a great place to run by myself now. I've been quite freaked out about running here alone but I'm encouraged that it won't be a problem. I'm just going to map out some routes and get it done. If I stick to the lake I can find lots of amazing gorgeous routes all along Lake Michigan. I'll get my pace back and then improve from there.

    I'm all for slower, untrained halfs because that is almost certainly how it will be for the next half I run at the end of September. (I find myself wondering just how awful running it would be if I just stuck to lots of 6 mile runs.)
