    Great evening in San Diego so did not take a rest day. 5 miler plus core workout.

    nice recovery run from back to back weekend races. Looked up my time in the half for Carlsbad and actually did a 1:47 chip time so not as slow as I thought.

    I like this race course. Took it very easy the first half of the race as I'm still recovering from the Houston Marathon. Ran the last 5 miles at a decent pace.

    Ran from Ruth Harden Park in Palm Springs through downtown to the Lykken trail head. 1,500 ft. elevation gain.

    Nice run along the bay. The group run was shortened as they were still tearing down the set from the World Record motorcycle jump on NYE.

    Refreshing run along the water to La Jolla. Stopped at the cove and watched a Tri open water swim practice for a few minutes-- very impressive.
