  1. RUN
    good morning run 4 mi

First mile sucked. Subsequent miles got much better. It was a beautiful day to be outside. The birds were chirping, the trees are blooming, and the temperature was great for running.

I agree, the first mile sucks! Way to pull through Kris, and appreciate the positives.

  2. RUN
alright run after work 3.2 mi 00:35 10:56 pace

Not my best run. Shins hurt a little and legs felt like lead. The easy thing to do would be to blame the heat. It was 77 degrees when we started. Ugh.

  3. FIT
    good core workout 00:45

Core Performance workout. Week 2, day 2. Wonder if I'll be sore for tomorrow's run?

focused on hip openers and arm strength

  6. FIT
good more core & lots of foam rolling 00:45

Day 2 of my new core program. Did a number of standard core exercises and then foam rolling and more foam rolling. My quads and hips hate me. Still felt good to complete.

  7. RUN
good run with running club at work 4 mi 00:41 10:15 pace

Ran with my work running club. Mile 1 was a bit too fast, slowed down for miles 2 and 3, and then ran last mile in 9:30. That is fast for me these days. Felt pretty darn good and hamstring didn... read more

  9. RUN
great trail run 7 mi 01:42 14:34 pace

First trail run of the season. Yay! While I'm really out of shape on the trails and could possibly be the worst downhill trail runner on the planet, I still had a great time. Hamstring really ... read more

  10. RUN
alright ye olde treadmill 3 mi 00:32 10:39 pace

    miles. just miles.

  11. RUN
good moderately hilly neighborhood... 4 mi 00:43 10:45 pace

This was a good run. There are some nice hills on this route and I felt strong running up them. Last mile was the fastest and most of it was uphill - 10:06.

  12. RUN
    alright Burke Lake - 2 loops 9 mi 01:45 11:39 pace

Legs never really got into a rhythm. Trail was very muddy, which normally isn't a bit deal but this was shoe-sucking, slip and fall-on-your-ass mud. Walked more than usual.

  13. RUN
    good lunchtime run 2 mi

Quick lunchtime run. Windy, but warm. It feels and smells like spring outside. Legs felt good.

  14. RUN
    good W&OD 4 mi

Ran before work. It was nice being outdoors for once. Weather has been very *meh* these past few days. Legs felt tired but I pushed through and ran the last mile as the fastest mile.

  15. RUN

    legs felt stiff and tired

  16. RUN
good Long run indoors 7 mi 01:20 11:25 pace

Icy trails forced me indoors for my long run. Kept an easy pace. Time went by faster than anticipated.

  17. RUN
    good blustery run 3 mi

Despite the cold and windy conditions outside, I decided to skip the treadmill and run outdoors. I like cold and after I was properly bundled up, had a pretty good run. Again, no watch or Garmin. L... read more

  19. RUN
    alright W&OD trail 5 mi 00:57 11:24 pace

A brisk morning for a run, but I like the cold weather and it proved to be a nice day. Really struggled with this run in a weird way. Trying to slow my pace down but couldn't do it. Marathon p... read more

  20. RUN
    alright puddle run 4 mi

There were numerous puddles on the trail after yesterday's rain, but I somehow managed to keep my feet dry. No watch, no Garmin for this one. First 2 miles felt blah, last two miles felt semi-... read more
