blah Fox Valley Marathon - 9/22/13 26.2 mi 03:49 08:43 pace

I don't think I have the energy for a proper write up. I wanted this marathon to be much more than it turned out to be. I didn't have an adequate amount of time to mentally prepare myself for the race and I can honestly say, I just wasn't all in it. I was on pace for so long that it hurts me to even look back at the break down that happened. The whole race felt like a huge effort, which was my first indicator that it just wasn't meant to be this year.

I want to send the biggest THANK YOU to David P. who was kind enough to come down to the race and run (and walk...) with me for the last 9 miles. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I also want to send the biggest, most heartfelt, thank you to Coachprs who has whipped my ass into shape the last 12 months and has yet again turned me into a strong runner. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would run 3 marathons in a matter of 90 days, especially because I had never run more than 1 marathon in a single year. Amazing. Thank you.

I must say, with how disappointed I was with myself over this race, and my lack of qualifying this year, this race was my 3rd best marathon. I can't believe it.

I think this is still fantastic, you have competed in some tough races this year. And your training is going well without injuries. You did a great job Jacqueline.

Love the run. Enjoy the race.

Rest up and come back for some beautiful fall runs with the leaves changing.

I recommend going to Devil's Lake for some recovery hiking/walking.

Baraboo Wi. It's beautiful. You'll think you're in Montana. Walk around the lake on the elevated route.

Don't feel bad. You just ran a marathon on a tough course! Take a rest and get it next year! You will definitely get it.
