evening run worked all weekend. drove to the start of the road to run up 4 miles and back down. wanted to run more but i was done. had some dogs run up to me barking off leash from a campground as i screamed my head off to the owners. adjusting to running here is still taking some time and that made me have a little anxiety attack as i just want to @&#$ run sometimes without driving, without barking dogs (tons in the area for security, bears, etc) and without crazy hills. however thats not the case so i have to deal with it. my city self still got a little emotional from that and a few other things on my mind. anyway gained my composure and went up the hill and then ran back down and made sure the dogs were leashed and i tip toed past the point back down. 1508ft gain in 4 miles. good times. avg hr 152 thanks to the downhill. first 4 miles all in the 11:xx last 4 ranged in mid 8 to low 8's. im officially tapering. the work is done. the past few months have been up and down with training , it is what it is though. i cant stress just rest up all week and enjoy and run my ass off this coming weekend. yes i didnt get enough long runs, but ive had consistent mileage and some quality workouts the last few months. what is done is done, i just have to believe in myself and put it all out there. thats my goal and mindset going into the next marathon. pink kinvaras.
