    good 10K training 2.01 mi 00:30 14:42 pace

The GPS couldn't find me for some reason on this one, but the run went well otherwise. Goal today was a 2 mile easy run. Done and done. Reconditioning is rough, though. My fault for quitting a... read more

  6. RUN
    good Interval Run 2.63 mi

So, I was sidetracked with my training the last week and a half. My good excuse is that I graduated college and was busy with family, however, I have my first 5k on Friday and I'm not so prepa... read more

Beautiful night. Nice breeze, cool air. The only problem on this run was all the bugs I inhaled. They are mine now...my precious.

  9. RUN
    great Week 7 10k training! 1.83 mi 00:26 14:12 pace

Yay! I'm well again! Run went great, except for my dumb clothing choice (all black cotton in the middle of a sunny 70 deg day).

  10. Gah. I've been down for the count for almost the whole week with a stupid chest cold. I'm hoping I can get back out there tomorrow. I'm getting antsy.

  11. RUN
    great 10K training 2.1 mi 00:31 14:45 pace

This run went exceptionally well. I didn't have KT tape on my ankle and there were no issues, it was overcast with a cool breeze, and I generally felt great the whole time. I tried to focus on... read more

Good job getting out there, Jackie. I've noticed that the breathing is easier for me on non-humid days. Today was kinda muggy and breathing was tough.

What program are you using for your 10k training? I've got an app on my phone that I like, but I'm curious about how others train.

It's a phone app called "10k Runner". It was recommended to my by my sister. I really like it, I just wish it also tracked mileage so I didn't have to use a separate app. Which one are you using?

10k Pink, for iPhone. I like mine as well and it's free but I have the same complaint about the app not tracking miles. I'm mostly running on a treadmill these days but when I'm outside I hate having to use a separate app for mileage. I do like the intervals though, the app sure helps keep me challenged (otherwise I'd never push myself hard enough).
