great CrossFit: Strict Press (ug) 01:20

Today's strength, Strict press. Not my favorite.

Strict Press
3x3
Push Press
3x3 (finished with 80 lbs.. I think..)

Workout Of the Day (WOD):
400 meter row
3 deadlifts (115 lbs)
9 thrusters (45 lbs)
15 knees-to-elbows (hanging from pull-up bar, bringing knees to elbows<--- this is HARD)
(repeat deadlifts, thrusters, and K-to-E 4 times. Then...)
400 meter row (to finish)

My time: 12:36

Lovely. After CrossFit I did 15 minutes of various abs and
Dumbbell rows 10 reps of 3 sets with 30 lbs
Then dumbbell rows 8 reps, 1 set 35 lbs

Great way to start your day.

    lol yeah, it was totally greek to me too at first! I try to make it Semi-user friendly, but yeah, it doesn't translate well.

    :) well, i understood some of it, but not all of it. you still doing the FIRST training program or doing your own thing? honestly, that has to be what got me faster. it's crazy!!! not that i can sustain such speeds for long distances. ... ... yet. ;)

    Training for running, you mean? I'm not using what you sent me.. :( I'm following our Team In Training plan for running but we haven't been doing much speed work, which, yeah, totally helps! I'm doing some stuff on my own but I should look back on what you sent me again.
    And yeah, you're really fast... that's freakin' awesome!

    :) no worries about the plan. it's probably best you do a more traditional plan w/out so much speed work so as not to aggravate the knee too much :)
